Shaping Destiny. Restoring Hope.
Empowering underprivileged children, youth, and women through education, mentorship, and climate action — rooted in Homabay County, growing across Kenya.
We work hand-in-hand with leading organizations, institutions, and community bodies to amplify our grassroots impact.
DESHAFO integrates community-driven initiatives that combine Education, Mentorship, and Climate-Smart Environmental Activities and Enterprises to transform lives from the roots up. We empower children, youth, and women not only through learning and guidance, but also through sustainable livelihood opportunities such as ISSB production — creating jobs, enabling affordable housing, and promoting environmental conservation.
Empowering the younger generation to identify their potential and academic pathways through the CBC curriculum.
We address climate change through integrated solutions including tree planting, environmental education, sustainable farming, and ISSB-based eco-construction. This reduces reliance on fired bricks, lowers environmental impact, and creates green livelihood opportunities for youth and women while advancing sustainable community development.
Counselling and reintegration of teen mothers back into school and community life with dignity and care.
Annual flagship event each August — covering spirituality, SGBV awareness, talent development, and CBC pathways.
Founded in 2019 by Rolex Ong'ute, DESHAFO Integrated CBO is a registered community-based organization based in Outbram Village, Central Ward, Homabay Town Sub-county.
Our mission is to create opportunities for underprivileged children, youth, and women through education, mentorship, and climate-smart livelihood solutions.
Through initiatives such as our Interlocking Stabilized Soil Blocks (ISSB) enterprise — implemented alongside community groups including Kolamo Self Help Group, Central Ladies Self Help Group, and the Rodi-Homabay Bodaboda Group — we are creating green jobs, promoting sustainable construction, and improving living conditions.
We also operate DESHAFO Integrated School — a testament to our commitment to accessible, inclusive, and community-driven education.
